Sapere Aude

My sapere aude research project, was entitled "The complexity of classification problems arising in operator algebras", and focused on classification problems in the areas of C*-algebras and von Neumann algebras, but from the novel perspective of Descriptive Set Theory. The project was active from 2011 to 2016 when the grant expired. Some ideas from the project has given rise to papers that have been written after the project ended.

The project funded partially a Ph.D. student Karen Bakke Haga, who finished her PhD in June 2019. It also partially funded three postdocs at various times: Konstantin Slutsky, Hiroshi Ando, and David Schrittesser, who now have jobs elsewhere.
