Short CV

I am a PhD student in mathematics at University of Copenhagen, and part of the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation. I work within the field of algebraic topology under the supervision of Nathalie Wahl.
In particular I am interested in Frobenius algebras and homological conformal field theories. A homological conformal field theory (HCFT) is a symmetric monoidal functor to the category of graded vector spaces from a category whose morphisms are given by the homology of mapping class groups of surfaces. Costello shows that the Hochschild homology of "A-infinity Frobenius algebras" gives examples of homological conformal field theories. Another example is the homology of the free loop space of a manifold. It appears that many of the operations given by a HCFT are trivial in many cases. In the current state of my PhD I investigate reasons given by the algebraic structure to generalize these vanishing results. Another question I want to investigate is when the action of the HCFT comes from a chain level action. The above mentioned vanishing results might help to solve this question.
