Mine forskningsinteresser er naturvidenskabernes historie og filosofi. Jeg har skrevet PhD om H.C. Ørsteds kemiske filosofi og har beskæftiget mig en del med Romantikkens filosofi og videnskabssyn generelt. De sidste par år har jeg forsket i debatter under den kolde krig omkring dels kvantemekanikkens fortolkning, og specielt Bohrs komplementaritetsbegreb, dels naturvidenskabens historiografi, med udgangspunkt i Niels Bohrs nære medarbejder Léon Rosenfeld. I øjeblikket studerer jeg kontroversen mellem Bohr og Rosenfeld på den ene side og Landau og Peierls på den anden side vedrørende erkendelsesteoretiske problemstillinger i kvantemekanikken og kvanteelektrodynamikken i starten af 1930rne.

Jeg har undervist forskellige kurser i naturvidenskabernes teori og historie.

My research interests are the history and philosophy of the natural sciences. My PhD dissertation is about H. C. Ørsted's chemical philosophy and I have subsequently studied the philosophy and world view of Romanticism more generally with respect to the Danish case. The last couple of years I have studied cold war disputes about the interpretation of quantum mechanics and the historiography of the sciences by taking a starting point in Niels Bohr's collaborator Léon Rosenfeld. At the moment I study the controversy between Bohr and Rosenfeld on the one hand and Landau and Peierls on the other hand about epistemological problems in quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics in the beginning of the 1930s. I have taught various courses in the philosophy and history of science.
