Operator Algebras

In celebration of Uffe Haagerup's 60th Birthday

Basic information

  • The conference takes place at the building "H. C. Ørsted Institutet" which houses the mathematics institute.
  • The address is Universitetsparken 5, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø.
  • The telephone for the institute is +45 3532 0723.

Public transportation in general

Copenhagen is divided into zones. The principle is that a ticket for the public transportation system is valid for all trains and busses within X zones of the starting zone in a fixed amount of time. For travel in central Copenhagen, 2 zones is generally enough (it is impossible to buy just a one zone ticket).

Transportation to hotels

There is a train line from the airport, Terminal 3 to the stations in the center of the city. The metro goes directly to Nørreport station in central Copenhagen. From the airport to Nørreport is 3 zones (31.50 DKK).

A cab from a city-station to your hotel is at least 100 DKK, but can easily get to 200 DKK, or even more..

Getting to the university.

The mathematics Institute is about 3 km from the center of the town, so most people like to use a bus. There are 5 lines which get very near to the institute, and those are the ones with the numbers 42, 43, 150S, 184, 185. You can get them all from the station named Nørreport. You can reach Nørreport from the central station Hovedbanegården.

Clicking here gives you a search engine in English, which wil accept any two points A,B as input and give you a description on how to get from A to B via public transportation.
