The committee of the Archive and its tasks
The daily adminstration of the Archive is done by a committee.
The committee's tasks have been decided by the governing body of the
Institute for Mathematical Sciences (meeting no. 9, 10 December 1997).
The committee consists of Jesper Lützen and Lillian
Stegger.
All questions and inquiries should be directed to Jesper Lützen.
The tasks of the committee
The committee of the Archive has the following tasks:
- To decide whether potential material should be received by the Archive.
- To provide that all substantial archival material from the institute,
its departments, and persons and societies connected to the institute is
conserved in the Archive.
- To supervise the archive and to provide that its material is kept
satisfactory.
- To provide inventories and list of contents of the collections.
- To inform about the Archive's collections and the possibilities
to study the material for the institute's staff as well as visitors.
- To determine guidelines for access to the collections and to provide
that these guidelines are followed.
- To take care of inquiries concerning the archival material, i.e.
requests to study material and photocopy material, and other questions.
