Symbolic Dynamics: Written exercise catalog

You may work in groups, but will then have to share the points earned. I will correct your answers, but unless I find very serious errors/mistakes, I am not going to ask for resubmissions.

I also offer 5 bonus points if you are willing to submit your solution in electronic format to be posted here. If you do so, you must be prepared to respond to criticism from me or other participants by revising your answer if necessary. I give out bonus points only once per exercise, so you can do this only if the exercise is marked 'Bonus avaliable' below. Please reserve the right to get bonus for a certain exercise by telling me by email, as soon as possible. After I hear about such reservations, I will mark them below.

I will post any electronic solutions on December 18.
